An environmental lawyer says there are serious questions about the legality of almost all logging in Victorian state forests. An ABC investigation has revealed that thousands of hectares of state forests appear to have been logged, or earmarked to be logged illegally. VicForests has responded to the allegation by saying it “can’t guarantee [it] has never made a mistake”, but that it works within its allocation order and there has been no “mass breach”.
