Land owners at Narrawong, east of Portland, finally have some certainty on if they are allowed to build on their land.

It's been an issue for more than four years now and we've seen developers pitted against local environmentalists over this picturesque piece of land.

Only a week away from a the dispute being heard at VCAT the planning Minister, Matthew Guy, has called it in and decided in the favour of the land owners.

Additionally, the Glenelg shire planning law has been changed so further appeal cannot be made about the decision.
