Webinar: North Queensland teenagers legal request to revoke Adani approval 6-7pm AEST (Qld) / 7-8pm AEDT (Melb/Syd)
November 5, 2020 @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm
On 22 October, two young teens from North Queensland made headlines with their request for Federal Environment Minister, Sussan Ley, to revoke approval of Adani’s giant Carmichael coal mine.
These young community leaders have provided the Minister with independent evidence from climate and economic experts that finds the proposed mine would increase global greenhouse gas emissions and have a significant impact on the Great Barrier Reef.
This new and robust evidence contradicts reasoning by former Federal Environment Minister Greg Hunt when he approved the mine in 2015 and shows these young women have done their homework when the federal government has not.
Will you join us on for a webinar on Thursday 5 November from 6-7pm AEST (Qld), 7-8pm AEDT (Melb, Syd) to hear from these inspiring young women, their legal representative, and the climate and economic experts?
