Urban Rivers and Wetlands Workshop Series: Restoration Practices

October 8, 2019 @ 6:00 pm - 8:30 pm

EJA is excited to host the first workshop in the upcoming Urban Rivers and Wetlands Workshop Series, part of our program of work for ‘river law’ through 2019-2021.

The workshop will be on Restoration Practices, and seeks to practically support community organisations and advocates looking after local waterways.

We’re excited to announce our key note speaker for the night will be Mark Bachmann, Principal Ecologist and Manager at the Nature Glenelg Trust!

Mark has extensive knowledge of on south-eastern Australian ecosystem ecology, and has worked in the region since 1996. He has a passion for wetland restoration and has great insight into the challenges advocates must overcome, as well as the success they can achieve if they are able to do so.

After Mark’s presentation, the night will include small group discussions, and a plenary discussion at the end of the workshop.

Guests are invited to arrive at the venue by 6:00pm for drinks and nibbles, for a 6:30pm start.

When: 6pm-8:30pm October 8th 2019

Where: Community Hub at The Dock Multipurpose Room
